Uganda Premier League
Vipers vs Sadolin Paints
St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende 4:00pm

Vipers scintillating run was brought to a halt last week with a shocking defeat to relegation candidates Kirinya Jinja SS.

After comprehensive wins against Proline and Kiboga Young in Uganda cup, Vipers looked like they had found the right footing but that was all watered down with defeat to Kirinya Jinja SS on Friday.

Vipers return to action on Tuesday against Sadolin Paints, a team that are in similar conditions like Kirinya Jinja SS.

The painters come into this fixture on the back of a 2-0 defeat against Proline and would want to get a positive result to fend off relegation threats.

With 24 points, Sadolin Paints are still locked in the bid for survival sitting at 11th position just two points above the red line.

Vipers skipper Nicholas Wadada indicates the loss to Kirinya was a huge blow but will want to make amends against Sadolin Paints.

“It was a poor display from us but we have put that behind us and focus is to make sure we get three points against Sadolin Paints,” he said.

There are no injury concerns for the venoms while Sadolin will be without several players.

Kibirige Moses, Karim Ndugwa, goalkeeper Baker Yunus (who got a concussion against Vipers) all out  but welcome back Peter Katumba, Daniel Ekoyu and Ibrahim Sajjabi who missed the game against Proline.

Vipers have a better record against Sadolin Paints going unbeaten in 5 league meetings between the two sides.

The first leg meeting on 28th October last year ended in a goalless stalemate at Bugembe stadium.
