A senior four student of St Andrews Secondary School in Rubanda District has drowned in Lake Bunyonyi, in what is strongly believed to be suicide.
Denis Owaruhanga, a resident of Kyigyeyo village in Ikumba Sub County went missing on Friday 17th March until Wednesday in the evening hours when his body was found floating on Lake Bunyonyi.
Elly Maate, the Kigezi region spokesperson says police visited the scene and the body was retrieved from the water.
He says that police have commenced investigations in the matter to establish why they youngster chose to take his own life.
He further asked the public to always use relevant offices to solve the problems than taking life.
