
The Uganda Police Force has released a temporary programme for the sending off of the fallen Assistant Inspector General, Andrew Felix Kaweesi.
The Police Administrative Committee (PAC) which is the highest decision making organ of force is expected to sit on Saturday afternoon to concretize the provisional arrangement that was developed last night.
According to the arrangement, the body of Kaweesi which is still at the city mortuary since it was recovered from the scene yesterday, is on Sunday afternoon going to be taken to St. Andrew Kaggwa church in Kigoowa for prayers at 3pm. Kulambiro where Kaweesi’s home is located, is under Kigoowa parish.
On Sunday night, the body shall be taken to the decease’s home and on Monday morning at 10am another prayer is expected at Lubaga Cathedral.
The body shall proceed to his upcountry home in Lwengo district on that very Monday afternoon and on Tuesday burial at 2pm.
Kaweesi was shot dead on Friday morning by unknown assailants who sprayed dozens of bullets on his car and instantly killing him and the bodyguard Cpl. Erau Kenneth and driver Geoffrey Wamwewo.
The assailants using motor cycles disappeared after the incident that happened near his home, without a trace.
He is the 14th person killed in similar fashion.
