Peaked Zambian referee Jan Sikazwe has been appointed to handle the Caf Champions League first round tie between African Champions Mamelodi Sundowns and KCCA FC on March 10th at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria.
Sikazwe took charge of the Africa Cup of Nations final match between Egypt’s Pharaohs and Cameroon last month.
He had earlier on officiated Real Madrid versus Kashima Antlers in the 2016 Fifa Club World Cup final.
Sikazwe will be assisted by Bruno Tembo and Amos Chalwe as the first and second assistants respectively. Compatriot Wisdom Chewe will be the fourth official.
The return leg will be played a week later in Kampala. The winner of the tie advances to the group stages while the loser heads for the Caf confederation’s cup second round.
