Fifa President Set to Visit Uganda

Fufa has announced that FIFA President Gianni Infantino will be in the country for a two day visit next week on Saturday 25 and Sunday 26.

The world football governing body head confirmed the news to Fufa president Moses Magogo who is in Doha Qatar for a FIFA Executive football Summit.

“I am very pleased to confirm my visit. I will be arriving in Entebbe on 25 February 2017. I have no doubt that this visit will help us to lay foundations for further cooperation and to share our personal visions for the continued development of our sport in your country,” Infantino confirmed in part of the letter to Fufa.

“Football needs such contacts for the sport to grow. Ugandan football will not be the same after his visit. It is a great moment in Ugandan football,” Magogo remarked.

Infantino is in a short is expected on African soil next week for the FIFA executive summit in South Africa before he pays a visit to Zimbabwe, Rwanda and Uganda.
