Ethiopian giants St. Georges FC have parted ways with Uganda Cranes central defender Isaac Isinde,” ChimpSport has learnt.

“St. George has parted ways with Ugandan international, Issac Isinde after the defender’s contract ended two days ago,” Ethiopian journalist Omna Tadele told ChimpSport.

He added that, “Coach Mart Nooji stated the club has got enough defenders at their disposal.”

The Cranes utility defender joined the Ethiopian giants in 2011 and later renewed his deal two years ago. He has gone on to help the club to four league cups in 2012, 2014 , 2015 and the most recent in 2016.

According to further sources, St George had an option to extend Isinde’s contract but opted not to.

The former Victors FC player has found play time hard to come by since the arrival of Dutch coach Martinus Ignatius ‘Mart’ Nooij. He has also featured for Iganga town council and Simba FC.

St. George is also home to Cranes second choice goalie Robert Odongkara, striker Brian Umony and midfielder Yassar Mugerwa.
