Onduparaka 4-3 SC Villa
Onduparaka has condemned SC Villa to their first loss this season in a 4-3 thriller at the Betway Greenlight stadium in Arua on Saturday.
Sensational goal scorer, Shabaan Muhammad netted a brace to ensure no team is left unscratched in the league.
Alex Kitata gave the visitors an early lead in the 12th when he tapped home Lwesibawa’s low cross but the home side levelled matters in the 25th minute with new recruit Ceasar Okhuti converting from a penalty after SC Villa goalkeeper Ashadu Bugembe had fouled him.
Three minutes later, a goal howler from SC villa goalie gifted Gaddafi Wahab with the Caterpillars second for the day that sent the fully packed stadium into a frenzy.
The Villa bench started protesting the centre referee’s decisions (Alex Muhabi) and Villa official Katongole Ceregious stepped to fight the referee but was whisked away.
Deo Sserwadda brought on Umar Kasumba for Dennis Kamanzi with four minutes to halftime but the score line remained the same.
Three minutes after recess, Muhammed Shaban scored the third goal for the home side when he beat Ibrahim Kiyemba for pace to slot past an onrushing Ashadu Bugembe.
Alex Benzema restored some hope for the Jogoos when he netted his second for the day in the 52nd minute.
Two minutes after the hour mark, Vitalis Tabu converted from a penalty after goalkeeper Richard Anyama had fouled Kasumba to draw the game three.
Tabu was withdrawn for Faudi Ndayisenga while Okhuti also paved way with Kawooya Farouk coming on.
With both teams almost seeming to have settled for an even score, Muhammad Shaban raced from the centerline with four minutes to time once again beating Kiyemba for pace to send a thunderous shot into the roof of the net past a helpless Ashadu Bugembe.
The result means Onduparaka move to 12 points after seven games same as SC Villa who lost their first game of the season.
