
The main suspect in the murder of businesswoman Donah Katushabe, Muhammad Sebuffu has also been granted bail by the High Court.
Sebuufu was released on his second attempt by the High Court Judge Justice Musalu Musene, his first bail application having been denied by the same judge earlier.
Sebuufu, the owner of Pine Car Bond is said to have beaten Katushabe to death, following her failure to clear a Shs 9million debt for a car she had purchased from the bond.
He was today released on a Shs 10million cash bail while his sureties Shs 100 non-cash each.
Subuufu was ordered to deposit his passport with the court and must report regularly to the court starting October 7th.
Earlier in the morning, his lawyers had tasked the court to release their client on grounds that his co-accused and former Kampala DPC Aaron Baguma had been granted bail the previous day.
Sebuufu’s sureties included his friend Joseph Tamale Mirundi, his uncle Nuhu Muzaata and another relative Abdu Karim .
