The first group of the Comoros national team contingent will arrive in the country at 1 pm on Thursday September 1, FUFA confirms.
Chairman of the FUFA International Match Organizing Committee, Dr. Bernard Patrick Ogwel revealed the details to the media during a press conference on Wednesday at the Federation’s headquarters in Mengo.
“The Comoros team have confirmed their arrival on Thursday and Friday in two groups. Both arrivals will be at 1 pm,” Ogwel said.
The chairman also reaffirmed the fans and stakeholders expecting to attend the match of maximum security for both their lives and property throughout the day.
Senior Superintendent of Police, Emirian Kayima who was present at the press conference assured the same pointing out that an unspecified number of policemen will be deployed right from the Electoral Commission on Jinja Road down to Bweyogerere and at the northern by-pass.
Cranes update
Uganda Cranes resumed recovery training on Wednesday in a closed door session at the Islamic University campus in Kaboja following a goalless draw against Kenya on Tuesday at Namboole.
The team needs to defeat Comoros on Sunday September 4 if they are to end the 38 year drought of AFCON qualification.
