Darling cancer patient Carol Atuhirwe who is in India for treatment yesterday underwent a successful initial operation.
Atuhirwe, whose treatment money was generously contributed by thousands of Ugandans through a donation campaign, revealed on Saturday that she is now feeling less pain and able to do more than she used not to.
Yesterday’s operation was to replace one of her missing spinal bones.
Carol, who spent months on radiotherapy treatment in Mulago Hospital, is unable to speak as her esophagus was severed by the ailment.
Yesterday however, she returned hope to her friends, relatives and thousands of her social media followers
“It was a good operation so far because I can now move a little better, the pain has reduced and I no longer have to hold my head to stand or sit though still in a little bit of pain because of surgery hasn’t healed yet,” she said.
“Thanks for your prayers and support as I continue waiting for more tests and surgeries to be done.”
