Jinja SS Crowned 2015/16 Big League Champions

Kirinya Jinja SS FC on Sunday afternoon overcome Arua based Onduparaka FC to claim the 2014-15 Fufa Big League trophy.

Attacking right winger Musa Magumba broke the deadlock when he poked the first goal just a minute to the breather following a quick counter attack that involved Joel Madondo, Mark and Otim.

In the other game played earlier, Proline made a comeback to the topflight after humbling Lira’s Sporting United by 4-1.

Edrisa Lubega notched a brace in the second half adding onto captain Simon Mbazira and Gift Ali who had earlier put Proline ahead while Dickens Okwi converted from the spot for Sporting United to help his team earn something on the day.

Muhammad Shaban(Onduparaka) was named the most valuable player of the 2015/16 FUFA Big League whereas Edrisa Lubega(Proline) with 19 goals in the regular season picked the golden boot.

The champions’ Ikara wore the golden gloves.
