Embattled National Social Security Fund (NSSF) Deputy Managing Director Mrs Geraldine Ssali Busuulwa was this morning denied access to her office at Workers House, Chimpreports has learnt.
Mrs Ssali reportedly attempted to re-enter her office from where she was hurled in March this year, for the Fund to probe her alleged insubordination and failure to follow company rules, but was denied entry.
The Pensions body revealed in a statement that Ssali was denied entry for her failure to comply with the preconditions for her reinstatement.
About a week ago, Finance Minister Hon Matia Kasaija, under whose docket the Fund falls, ordered reinstatement of Mrs. Ssali in fear that the misunderstandings would have severe ramifications on the Fund’s public image.
She was however, to withdraw first her suit against the Fund which she lodged before the Kampala High Court. The court had ruled in her favor and according to sources; her concerns had already reached the desk of the President.
Mrs. Ssali according to statement issued by NSSF this evening, agreed to withdraw her case from the court but had not, when she attempted to access her office today.
“As of this morning May 16th 2016 when she attempted to report to work, she had not complied with the preconditions as agreed with the Minister,” read part of the statement.
“Neither Mrs Ssakli, not her lawyers had filed any withdraw documents with court. In the meantime, the fund through its lawyers has shared a draft consent order with her lawyers and so far a response is still outstanding”
“Unless she complies with the directive as agreed with the minister, she cannot be allowed back to office.”
