
Entebbe International Airport buzzed with the sound of drums and blissful dance last night as some of the VIP guests invited for President Yoweri Museveni’s inauguration ceremony started arriving in the country.
President Museveni, who was reelected to State House last February, will be sworn in tomorrow May 12th at the Kololo Independence Grounds by the Chief Justice Bart Katureebe.
Among the guests welcomed at the Entebbe Airport last night was the King of Lesotho Letsi III and the Prime Minister of Swaziland Barnabas Sibusiso Dlamini.
Some of the guests inbound today for the grand ceremony include Tanzanian President John Pombe Magufuli, Chadian President Idriss Derby of Chad, Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta of Mali and President Niger Mahamadou Issoufou.
Others expected in the country include Zimbabwe’s Robert Mugabe, south Sudan’s Salva Kiir, President Uhuru Kenyatta of Kenya, Togo’s Faure Essozimna Gnassingbé, Edgar Lungu of Zambia among others.
