Pastor Sandra Ngabo, the wife of Pastor David Ngabo who was arrested this morning at the Forum for Democratic Change offices has warned that government will not win the spiritual war it has started on its opponents.
The man of God was picked up by anti riot police, who deployed in numbers early Tuesday morning, at the Najjanankumbi headquarters.
Here he was slated to preside as usual, over the opposition party’s weekly prayers which were however, banned by the constitutional court last week.
Ngabo was by publication time still being held at the nearby Katwe Police Station.
His wife Sandra revealed in a brief statement that she and Pastor Ngabo were aware and prepared for this development, but warned that government would pay a heavy price for waging a war against God.
“It’s well; God revealed it to us before hand and all is in plan so we are strong,” she said. “God is mighty to save; (Deuteronomy 29:29) whatsoever is revealed to us God has empowered us to face and overcome it.”
The fight, she said has just been taken to another level, citing the biblical Daniel who was thrown in the den of lions and came out unhurt.
“But those that conspired to throw him there once they were thrown in and their families none survived! Watch this space! Our trust is in God Almighty who is mighty to save not in (Museveni),” she warned.
Earlier today, the Inspector of Police Gen. Kale Kayihura told press that “the right to worship is not entrenched in the constitution as being absolute.”
“It is like any other form of right. The FDC weekly prayers are a way of mobilizing people to demonstrate and these were last week banned by court,” Gen. Kayihura said.
