Sports Club Villa ensured they ended the 2016/17 season on an impressive note with a slim victory against Uganda Revenue Authority (URA)
Villa cemented their stay in the second spot on the table edging past URA FC in the game played at Masaka Recreation ground on Friday.
The game was initially scheduled to be played on Saturday but was brought forward a day before due to the unavailability of the ground on Saturday.
Masaka Recreation ground will host the final of the national post primary schools tournament that also climaxes on Saturday with Jinja SS playing St. Mary’s Kitende in the finals.
Forward Umar Kasumba scored the lone goal of the game to help the Jogoos go past the tax collectors in a closely contested game.
Kasumba also scored the solitary strike as Villa defeated Vipers at the same ground on Tuesday this week.
The result means SC Villa end the season in second place on 58 points in 30 games while URA FC remain 4th on 48 points
