Agnes Nambassa, who early this year came top of her Masters class at Makerere University has passed on.
Ms Nambassa graduated last February with a Master’s Degree in Business Administration, topping her class of 75.
According to relatives, the deceased who was pregnant passed away on Friday morning after being operated at Norvic Hospital in Kampala.
“She felt severe pain and was rushed to hospital. The baby was found dead and Aggy died a few hours later,” said a relative who didn’t want to be named. By the time of her death, Nambassa was working as a Loans Officer with Centenary Bank.
Friends described the deceased as down to earth and kind always displaying a smiling face. “She always cracked jokes. She never got annoyed with anyone. It is sad we have lost such a young soul, “said Grace Namugabo, a close friend to the deceased.
She will be laid to rest tomorrow, Saturday at Maya, along Kampala-Masaka road.
