Kampala Capital City Authority Football Club (KCCA FC) will have to face two North African sides in the group stage of the Total CAF Confederation Cup.
In the draws held on Wednesday afternoon in Cairo, Egypt, Uganda’s representatives have been drawn against Moroccan side FUS Rabat, Club Africain from Tunisia and Nigeria’s River United.
With FUS Rabat seeded in pot 1 as one of the only four seeded teams, they were placed in group A with KCCA FC, Club Africain and Rivers United.

Until of recent, when KCCA FC eliminated Al Masry from Egypt, the history does not favour Ugandan teams against North African sides.
To reach the group stage, FUS Rabat eliminated MAS FAZ also from Morocco 3-2 on aggregate. Club African eased past Mauritius’ AS Port Louis 2000 6-2 on aggregate while River united edged past Rayon Sport 2-0 from neighbours Rwandan.
KCCA FC who dropped from Total CAF champions league ejected Al Masry 4-3 on penalties after a 1-1 aggregate score.
