Museveni Contributes Shs.100 million to Adjumani School

President Yoweri Museveni on Saturday contributed Shs. 100 million shillings towards the building of a new library at Beeza Al Hajji Senior Secondary School in Adjumani district and also laid a foundation stone for the construction.

The school started operation in 2004 as a private Muslim Secondary School but currently partners with the Government of Uganda in implementing the Universal Secondary Education programme. The school has a capacity of 450 students 96 of who are refugees from South Sudan.

After inspecting the new science laboratory that was funded by Japan and the computer laboratory, President commended Gen. Ali Moses for having worked with the right people to support the school. He also commended the school for its good academic performance in last year’s examinations.

Mr. Museveni informed his audience that the government’s five-year plan entails having one secondary school per sub-county throughout the country, one government primary school per parish and one technical school per constituency.
