Vipers SC 0-0 Sadolin Paints
Vipers Sports club endured yet another fruitless evening as they were held at home by Sadolin Paints.
Coming into Tuesday’s game on the back of a shocking defeat to Kirinya Jinja SS last week, Vipers needed a positive result to make amends.
However, the target was not attained as they were held to a barren stalemate at St.Mary’s stadium on Tuesday.
Despite several attempts by the home side, their engagements in the final third always proved half-baked and seemed blunt in front of goal.
Brian Nkuubi got the first realistic chance at goal 7 minutes after kickoff from a free kick but his effort sailed inches above the opponent’s goal.
Keziron Kizito broke through Sadolin’s defence at the quarter hour mark but he failed to find the target with his shot hitting the side net.
Sadolin Paints assistant coach Musafiri Muzamir was sent off by centre referee Ali Kaddu after the former had a verbal confrontation with Vipers head coach Jorge Miguel Da Costa.
Either side opted for changes after recess with Vipers introducing Alfred Leku for Milton Karisa. Mike Sserumaga also paved way for Moses Waiswa while Brian Kakaire replaced Keziron Kizito.
Sadolin Paints on the other hand introduced Fred Kyambadde and Isaac Muyanga.
There was literally nothing to write home about in the second period with the visitors falling back to defend.
The draw leaves Vipers 4th on the table with 36 points while Sadolin Paints move to 10th position on 25 points.
