President Museveni has today Tuesday met the family of Kenneth Watmon Akena, who was shot dead last year in Lugogo.
While campaigning for the NRM flag bearer for the Member of Parliament seat, Museveni took time off and visited Mr.Francis Omona (father) and Suzan Omona (mother) in Pajule, Pader district.
“He condoled with the family for the loss of their son and thanked them for being calm in this trying moment,” the senior presidential press secretary Don Wanyama said.
“He assured them that justice will be dispensed since the suspects are in custody. ”
The president also thanked the family for being patient and keeping calm during the whole trial. He urged them to give the court chance to do its work, as the suspects were already being tried.
Quantum Logistics boss Mathew Kanyamunyu was arrested together with his Burundian girlfriend Cynthia Munwangari and elder brother Joseph Kanyamunyu for murdering social worker Akena in November last year.
