URA FC 2-0 Soana
Uganda Revenue Authority football club registered their third successive win and second under new coach Ibrahim Kirya against struggling Soana.
Goals from Shafik Kagimu and Hamis “Diego” Kiiza condemned Soana to their third straight loss in all competitions in the game played at Mehta stadium, Lugazi on Friday.
Playing under new coach, Alex Isabirye who replaced George Lutalo at the start of this week, Soana were resilient in the opening 45 minutes keeping the hosts at bay but eventually broke down after recess.
URA made three changes to the team that won 1-0 against Sadolin Paints on Tuesday with Fred Okot,Francis Harry Gentle and Nicholas Kagaba replacing Julius Ntambi, Sam Ssekito,and Peter Lwasa in that order.
Midfielder Nicholas Kagaba broke the deadlock three minutes after the interval to give the tax collectors the lead.
Diego Kiiza erased any chances of Soana earning a point in the game doubling URA’s lead with just five minutes to time.
URA moved to 3rd slot on the table with 33 points while Soana dropped to 8th position on 25 points.
