Police in Kanungu are investigating a case in which a 4 year old girl was knocked dead in a hit and run.
Joab Wabwire, the Kanungu District Police Commander identified the deceased as Brinah Nembabazi, who was knocked by a speeding vehicle on Saturday morning in Nyamigoye trading center in Kanyantorogo sub county, Kanungu district.
Wabwire says police is hunting for the driver although the car was yet to be identified.
He blamed the accident on over speeding but also said that parents should always mind the movements of their children in urban centers especially those living near main roads.
