
Uganda Cranes striker Emmanuel Okwi has agreed a short term deal to play for giants SC Villa until the season’s dusk.
The striker recently parted ways with Danish Superligaen side SönderjyskE, prematurely ending an initial five year deal.
The 24-year old returns to a club he featured for seven years ago. He left SC Villa in January 2010 to join Tanzania giants Simba Sports club.
He left Simba in January 15 2013 on a record £ 170,000 transfer deal to Tunisian giants Etoile Du Sahel. His stay lasted only six months before returning to Tanzania and signing a year long contract with Yanga.
From their, Okwi made a return to Simba in 2014 and then to Denmark a year later.
He becomes the sixth signing for the Jogoos in the just ended mid season transfer window.
Other signings include two foreign keepers; Arthur Byarakaza and Tony Nyokon from Rwanda and Ivory Coast respectively, Farouk Musisi, Sulaiman Luzige from Sweden and Alex Semuyaba who is returning to the side.
SC Villa are currently second on the premier league log but were evicted from the Uganda cup competitions from the round of 64.
