Grief today covered the Makindye based General Court Martial after members received news of the passing of one of their own.
Captain Tom Amee who was the Political Commissar in Charge of General Duties at the court passed away on Sunday at Nakasero Hospital where he was rushed from Bombo Military Hospital in critical condition.
The court Registrar Maj John Bizimana revealed today that the cause Amee’s death was still unknown.
“But before his death, his wife tried to call his phone but he was not picking, up until she came to his place near Bombo Barracks and found that he had locked himself in the house.
“On entering the house she found him lying down in unconscious, and she immediately called for help.”
Bazimana also revealed that the deceased was last seen by colleagues in office last Friday.
Most of the court members were today heard referring to the deceased as a friendly and jolly person whom they are going to miss.
Captain Amee started his service in the army on 27th June 2016 after taking oath with 23 other members who were appointed by the Commander in Chief Gen Yoweri Kagutta Museveni.
