UAP Insurance has named Mr. Francis Kajura as the acting Managing Director following the departure of the former Managing Director Zipporah Mungai who has left the company to pursue other interests.
The Group Chief Executive Officer of UAP Old Mutual East Africa, Mr. Peter Mwangi noted management’s appreciation of Ms. Mungai’s tremendous contribution to the growth of the Company over the past three years.
“Mr. Kajura has a wealth of experience in insurance and asset management services having worked in the Uganda Financial Services sector over years,” said Mr Mwangi.
Prior to his appointment, Mr. Kajura was the Managing Director of UAP Financial Services Limited and had previously worked with UAP Insurance as the Chief Finance Officer for six years.
“Mr.Kajura rejoins UAP Insurance at a time when the business is at its peak and we are confident that he is the right person to ensure continuity” said Mr. Mwangi
Over the last five years, UAP Insurance has experienced a remarkable growth making it one of the leading insurance companies in Uganda.
The property arm of the business recently completed the Nakawa Business Park, which consist of 23,000 square meters of Grade A commercial space.
