Police in Mbarara have arrested suspected conmen alleged to have stolen up to 123 million Shillings.
Among the suspects is Retired Staff Sergeant Wumalu Nsamba, 53, from Rugaga Sub County Isingiro district and Kasimu Nsamba 53yrs a resident of Kabale village in Bukanga, both of who are detained at Mbarara and Isingiro central police stations respectively.
Area Police spokesperson Ibin Ssenkumbi confirmed that the two were picked while another suspect is said to have died in an accident on the Kampala road recently.
The suspects are said to have robbed Shs. 123million from Agnes Bintungire, Annet Kyobutungi and another unnamed person, all of them mobile money operators.

The suspects were found with a number of items including 4 tins of tanzanite crystal powder, which they use in making counterfeits targeting the business community around towns.
Ibin said the group is big, and other members are in court for various crimes.
