AUPL: Bul Peg Caterpillars as Shaban Limps Out

Center back Rashid Toha earned a point for Onduparaka FC at home against BUL football club in a game that exploded with attacks in the first half but deflated in the second

Yunus Sibira had unlocked the game with a spectacular thumping header from a 19th minute corner.

Earlier on, the visitors missed a clear opportunity due to Anyama and Toha’s brilliance in the box. Yudah Mugalu floated a low ball from a counter attack which Kalisa met with a feeble touch but Anyama was on toes to punch away.

Mugalu approached the rebound to shoot but again Toha recovered quick and blocked for a corner.

The Caterpillars stepped their attack mid way the period with Shaban coming closer in the 22nd minute after Wahab had dropped the ball on his feet but again his effort was countered by Walulya with Kalyowa already beaten in position.

Wahab curled in another beauty seven minutes later which found Toha in the right place to thump in for the leveller.

Bul slowed down the second period with systematic injury stoppages and frustrated the opponents who were already depleted following their captain Muhammad Shaban’s withdrawal due to a recurring injury setback.
