The two people who were on Wednesday convicted of the murder of city businessman Eria Bugembe Kasiwukira have applied to challenge their sentences.
High Court Judge Justice Wilson Masalu Musene acquitted deceased Eria Bugembe Kasiwukira’s widow Sarah Nabikolo and convicted two of her co-accused Sandra Nakungu and Ashraf Jadeni for murdering Kasiwukira in late 2014.
The two convicts through their lawyer Rwadsalus Rwakafuuzi today rushed to Court of Appeal where they filed a notice of motion of their appeal challenging their conviction.
On Wednesday the duo was sentenced to 20 years imprisonment after being found guilty of murdering tycoon Kasiwukira on 17th October 2014 in Diplomatic zone Muyenga Kampala district where he was hit by a car.
These are challenging their conviction by a trial judge Justice Masalu Musene who acquitted the widow Nabikolo, with who they were indicted on the same file case.
